Terms and Conditions
Eligibility
The Competition is open to students of all participating schools. Teachers and school administrators are responsible for submitting student artwork entries.
Submission of Artwork
By submitting artwork to the Competition, you affirm that you have the necessary permissions for the artwork, and that it does not infringe upon any copyright, trademark, or intellectual property rights. The organiser reserves the right to disqualify any entry that does not comply with these requirements. All entries must be original artwork created by the pupil(s). We encourage submission of original designs, created either by hand, using traditional methods, or digitally. We ask that for digital designs, pupils refrain from using AI-generated imagery. Submissions must be high-quality, clear photographs of the artwork. Multiple entries per class are permitted, but should be uploaded in a single submission where possible.
Use of Data
By entering the competition, you grant Sport Wales a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, publish, and display the submitted artwork for promotional purposes related to the School Sport Survey 2026 and other related activities, with credit given to the artist and school. Furthermore, by submitting artwork, you consent to the collection, processing, and use of your personal data, as outlined in the Privacy Policy. This data will be used solely for the purposes of administering the Competition, contacting the winners, and sending related communications. Personal data will not be shared with third parties except as necessary for the administration of the Competition and in accordance with applicable law.
Data Retention and Destruction
Personal data (including email addresses) collected during the entry process will be used solely for the purpose of administering the competition and contacting winners, in accordance with GDPR and our Privacy Policy. All data collected during the Competition will be retained by Industryline Research for the duration of the project and for 6 months after the project ends. After this period, all personal data, including photos and contact details, will be securely destroyed to ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
Administration
The administration of the Competition is handled by Industryline Research, a registered company in the UK (www.industrylineresearch.co.uk). Any queries regarding the Competition or data usage should be directed to Industryline Research via the contact details provided on the website.
Intellectual Property
By entering the Competition, you grant the organisers permission to use submitted artwork in national School Sport Survey materials and other promotional activities related to the Competition. The artwork may be featured in digital and print formats, with appropriate credit given to the student and their school.
Competition Results
The winners will be announced via the Competition app in February 2026. The winners will also be contacted directly via email. Entries will be judged by a panel based on creativity, originality, and relevance to the theme of "sport and physical activity in Wales." The judges' decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into. Winners will be contacted via the email address provided during submission. Prizes are non-transferable, and no cash alternative is available. Winning entries will be featured in national School Sport Survey 2026 materials.
